1. The competition will be held on the Sunday closest to the 22nd of February each year and will be open to any aircraft.
2. Before each flight the pilot will nominate the time for their flight, from a minimum of 2 minutes to a maximum of 5 minutes.
3. All motor runs, whether internal combustion or electric, will be one continuous motor run and will be a maximum of 50% of the nominated flight time, with no motor run during the last 50% of the flight.
4. Depending on the type of aircraft, timing will commence when:-
a. The plane wheels leave the ground
b. The plane leaves the hand - hand launched aircraft
c. The plane comes off the line - gliders
5. Timing of the flight stops when the aircraft lands - first touch.
6. Scoring will be 1 point per second under or over the pilots nominated time for that flight.
7. Each pilot can have a maximum of four flights, with the best three to count.
8. The winner will be the pilot with the lowest total of their best three flights. |
