The Weekend |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The weather arrived exactly as ordered for the whole weekend with plenty of sunshine and very light breezes only blowing up in the afternoons. Team Welburn was on sight all weekend entertaining the masses when they were not feeding them. QMARA were, as always I am told, exceptionally well organised, with all the cages and judges setup and ready to race by 9am Saturday morning. First up was the spectacular F3D class. Chris Callow, the current World Champion, displayed what it was all about with a time equal to the current world record. The sheer speed of these machines has to be seen to be believed. A couple of our own racers were mixing it up with the best, and Rory Birch came in a very respectable 4th place, just checkout the company he was racing against. |
